QureTech Bio co-founder Fredrik Almqvist awarded the 2025 Bo and Barbro Hammarström prize

Fredrik Almqvist, CSO and co-founder of QureTech Bio and professor at the Department of Chemistry at Umeå University, has been awarded the Bo and Barbro Hammarström Prize for 2025.
The prize honors outstanding contributions to research in chemistry, cell- and molecular biology, microbiology or immunology. Fredrik Almqvist is recognized for his pioneering work in drug development, especially his design of small molecules that target bacterial virulence and resistance mechanisms. His research has laid the foundation for new therapeutic strategies and has been instrumental in the creation and growth of QureTech Bio.
